Oscar nominated actor Jude Law has been told he will not face charges after he was accused of assault by a female photographer.
The Crown Prosecution Service said it will "take no further action against the actor" on the grounds that "Mr Law had no intention to assault anyone".
The actor, was pictured fending off the paparazzi outside a London club in July. His lawyer said the assault claim made against the actor was "nonsense".
In a statement, the CPS said: "A careful analysis of the specific evidence in this case, which included photographs and eye witness statements, indicates that Mr Law had no intention to assault anyone.
"While Mr Law accepted that he may have come into contact with someone whilst attempting to make his way to his car, it is highly likely that a court would decide his actions were reasonable given that his path was deliberately impeded by a crowd of photographers."
However it is not the first time that Law has been involved in a case of this nature. In 2007, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting another photographer outside his home. No charges were brought against him.
Law is expecting a child with US model Samantha Burke, following an infamously brief relationship.
