Keisha Buchanan has reportedly been "forced to leave" the Sugababes after 11 years.
The 25-year-old singer (pictured top right) and only original member of the group left has left the pop trio, which also includes Amelle Berrabah and Heidi Range.
According to The Sun, she claimed "a breakdown in communication" and "lack of trust" were behind her departure from one of Britain's most successful pop acts.
However, the group will remain recording under the name of The Sugababes despite now having no founding members.
Last week it was reported that Berrabah had left the group, disappearing for days on end following arguments with Buchanan.
It was said that she would be be replaced by UK Eurovision entrant Jade Ewen. However, now it appears that Berrahbah is staying and Buchanan is the one who is leaving. Ewen will now replace Buchanan instead.
Keisha Buchanan, cleared matters up by stating: "There were no arguments, bullying or anything of the sort that led to this. Sometimes a breakdown in communication and lack of trust can result in many different things.
"I have nothing but positive things to say about the girls and I wish them the best of luck.
"I want to thank the Sugababes fans and my fans for all your support and all who have never judged me, but accepted me for who I am.
"I have a great family and friends who are behind me 100 per cent. I'm now going out into this world on my own. Although I'm nervous, I'm still very excited on what lies ahead."
Buchanan will now embark on a solo career for Island Records, the Sugababes' record company confirmed.
The Sugababes were originally formed in 1998 with Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhn Donaghy . Donaghy left in 2001 with Buena following in 2005, being replaced by Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah respectively.
