Lady Gaga is in talks to write and sing the theme tune for the next James Bond film, according to reports.
The American singer has been tipped as the producers' “top choice” to fill the iconic opening credits scene with a new song for the long-running spy film franchise.
A source told The Sun: "Bond bosses are all huge Gaga fans.
“Her sound and sense of drama make her the top choice. Gaga has the look as well as the voice to tackle a thundering ballad.
“She's a great songwriter too. This is perfect on every level."
Other acts tipped for the upcoming film's song slot include the previous film's initial frontrunner Amy Winehouse and Michael Buble.
The last theme (for the film 'Quantum of Solace') was 'Another Way To Die' by Jack White and Alicia Keys. Previous Bond themes have been performed by Dame Shirely Bassey, Madonna, Paul McCartney and Wings and Tom Jones.
The next movie, which will once again star Daniel Craig as Bond, is due to go into production later this year. As yet, it is untitled.
