Following Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue decision to leave The Voice UK, it has now been revealed that pop star Kylie Minogue will be seen behind the coaching panel. The Australian singer who has sold more than 68 million records worldwide and who appears to be a big fan of the show, is extremely excited.
She said: "I'm very excited. I love the concept of the show and have been an avid viewer of both series."
"Will I be competitive? Probably more than even I imagine! Watch this space!"
Meanwhile, Moira Ross of The Voice UK’s production company Wall to Wall, said that Kylie is the best choice. She said: "In terms of pop royalty, it really doesn't get much better than Kylie.”
"With more than two decades of global success under her belt, I know she'll bring something truly special to the coaching line-up."
Kylie is expected to help boost the ratings for the third season. The second series of the show did not attract as much audience as the first season despite several attempts to make the show more appealing. In 2013, only 7.65million watched the show on the average. This is much lower compared to 9.21million in 2012.
