Kidman's wedding tears

Nicole Kidman wept with joy as she tied the knot with Keith Urban on Saturday (24.06.06).

Country singer Urban - who serenaded his bride-to-be at the altar - also broke down in tears as the pair wed in a cliff top church overlooking Sydney on Saturday.

The couple exchanged vows just after sundown in a romantic candle-lit ceremony in front of family and friends, including Hollywood stars Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Naomi Watts.

Nicole looked stunning in a white Balenciaga dress set off by delicate pearl jewellery. Urban wore a black suit.

A guest told America's People magazine: "Nicole cried all the way to the church in the car and then she cried all during the ceremony and had to wipe her eyes under the veil. It was so emotional and beautiful."

After their big day the pair released a wedding photograph and a statement saying: "We just want to thank everyone in Australia and around the world who have sent us their warm wishes."

Nicole and Urban are thought to have spent their first night as husband and wife in their Sydney apartment before going on their honeymoon, either in Bora Bora or Fiji.
