Kerry Katona ‘dropped’

Goes from bad to worse for former Atomic Kitten star...

Kerry Katona has been dropped by her management agency, Can Associates, according to reports.

The former Atomic Kitten star joined the company last year under strict conditions following her divorce from second husband, Mark Croft.

The company, led by Claire Powell, also looks after the careers of Peter Andre, The Only Way is Essex star Amy Childs and Nicola McClean.

News of the World journalist Dan Wootton broke the news on 16 June via Twitter, posting:

"For those asking, it is true that Kerry Katona and CAN Associates have parted ways.

"Not great news for Kerry, in my opinion."

According to reports, Can let Kerry go following her failure to turn up to Amy ChildsÂ’ 21st birthday party.

A source told the Daily Star:

"We rescued Kerry from obscurity a year ago. We have spent a lot of money cleaning up her image. We have given her a whole new image, new clothes, a new life and she has blown it all."

Powell had previously warned the 30-year-old Dancing on Ice star about her behaviour, saying:

"Kerry knows this is her last chance. If she is prepared to work hard and stay clean she has a great career ahead of her."
