Coronation Street fans will see Martin Platt's teen lover Katy Harris kill her father Tommy this week.

Rocked by her family's claim that Martin is having an affair with old flame Sally, Katy aborts the baby the couple are expecting.

But when Gail reveals that it is not Martin that Sally is playing away from home with, Katy's mother Angela is forced to tell her daughter that they were wrong about the affair.

The distraught teenager then confronts her father when she spots him working at the garage and tells him he has ruined her life.

Lucy- Jo Hudson, who plays Katy in the soap, told The Sun: "They have a really massive row."

"Tommy is working on a care while they're arguing and he keeps passing her tools."

"He winds her up so much that she lashes out at him without thinking."

Lucy-Jo, who is due to leave Corrie in April, has revealed that her own private life is somewhat happier than her character's.

The 21-year-old actress has confessed that she has been in a secret off-screen relationship with fellow Corrie star Alan Halsall since Christmas.

The actor plays dopey mechanic Tyrone Dobbs in the soap.

"Yes, we are seeing each other and, yes, we are enjoying it," the actress told the Daily Mirror.
