Kat could leave Albert Square for good

Actress Jessie Wallace, who plays Kat Moon in EastEnders, has said she might not return to the soap after her baby is born.

Actress Jessie Wallace, who plays Kat Moon in EastEnders, has said she might not return to the soap after her baby is born.

The pregnant star will leave our screens on November 5th after Kat's marriage collapses and the actress is planning a year-long break.

However, her partner Dave Morgan has poured cold water on fans' hopes that Kat might make a dramatic return to Albert Square in the future.

Speaking to Heat magazine, Morgan said: "I'm not sure if Jessie will go back or not."

"We are so excited and can't wait to have the baby," he added.

EastEnders bosses had hoped to bring Kat back into the show in mid-2005 as part of their plans to counteract a recent ratings slump.
