Actress Karen Black, who is known for the film ‘Easy Rider’ among others, has died at the age of 74. It is understood that Black died at a clinic in LA. The news comes after Black was diagnosed with cancer three years ago.
The star, whose career spanned four decades, appeared in many films. This relates to over 100 films.
Many may know Black for the film ‘Easy Rider’ among other films. ‘Easy Rider’, 1969, tells the tale of two bikers in America.
Black also appeared in films such as ‘Five Easy Pieces’, among others.
For ‘Five Easy Pieces’, Black was nominated for an Oscar as well as receiving a Golden Globe award.
With regards to ‘The Great Gatsby’, 1974, the actress won a best supporting actress Golden Globe award.
The American actress also starred in films such as ‘Rhinoceros’, ‘The Day of the Locust’ and ‘Nashville’ among others.
Black was born in Chicago in 1939.
