Screen actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt was injured in a bike crash while filming over the weekend.
The 'Third Rock From the Sun' and 'Inception' star is playing a bicycle courier in the forthcoming 'Premium Rush' and was riding a push bike when he lost control and ploughed into the back of a New York taxi.
The crash resulted in 31 stitches in his arm, of which he posted a grisly video of the aftermath on his website.
Gordon-Levitt wrote in the blog: "My first real wreck today. Busted through the rear window of a cab.
"Luckily got my elbows up. Coulda been way worse. No, but it was my fault, I was going too fast (sic).
"The director, Dave Koepp, was extremely concerned for my well-being, but I made him record the wound.
"Anyway, 'Premium Rush' is gonna be awesome. Gratuitous ER footage to follow, stay tuned."
'Premium Rush' centres around a bike messenger who picks up a package at Columbia University, inadvertently catching the eye of a corrupt policeman.
