Jolie's Indian adoption

Angelina Jolie is adopting an Indian baby, it has been reported.

The 'Tomb Raider' star and her lover Brad Pitt are said to have applied to adopt a child from an Indian orphanage.

A source revealed to Globe magazine: "They hope to be able to bring the child home by Christmas.

"Brad would prefer a boy no older than 18 months to even out the sexes but Angie has told him she can't guarantee she won't fall in love with a little girl.

"Whichever they end up with, they'd like to name the child India to honour its homeland."

Angelina and Brad, who are in Pune, India, filming new movie 'A Mighty Heart', are rumoured to have visited the Priva Darshini orphanage earlier this month.

The Hollywood couple have a five-month-old daughter Shiloh Nouvel.

Brad is also joint guardian to Angelina's adopted children - five-year-old son Maddox who is Cambodian and Ethiopian daughter Zahara who is 22-months-old.

Angelina once said: "I believe I'm meant to find my children in the world and not necessarily have them genetically."
