Angelina Jolie has said that the action sequel "Tomb Raider 2" did badly at the box office because promotional posters were "unsexy".
The actress claims the film's marketing managers airbrushed pictures of her too much.
"Once they had airbrushed any sexuality out of the poster that was it. Bye bye box office," Jolie asserted.
"Let's face it, the first one did great business."
The original "Tomb Raider" netted more than $131 million in cinema takings and $62 million more in DVD and video rentals in 2001. Two years later, the follow-up film made $66 million in the cinema and $35 million from rentals.
Both films were savaged by critics.
