EastEnders bosses are offering Jessie Wallace a whopping 100,000 if she will stay in the ailing soap - for just six months.

Jessie, who plays Kat Moon, is no sooner back in the Square after having her new baby than she is thinking of quitting again, this time for good.

She reportedly wants to leave when her contract expires this summer to spend more time with little Tallulah Lilac.

But the BBC has reportedly lined up a huge story for Kat and Alfie for this Christmas and is desperate to keep her on until then.

TV chiefs believe that getting Albert Square's favourite couple back together may be the only way to woo viewers back to the ailing soap.

Shane Richie, who plays Alfie, has been given six months off next year so that he can pursue other acting projects, and EastEnders bosses are likely to want Jessie's departure to come at the same time.
