Jessica Simpson will reportedly spend her third wedding anniversary alone - fuelling rumours her marriage to Nick Lachey is on the rocks.

The sexy star is allegedly planning to spend the landmark date later this month on a charity mission in Nairobi, Africa.

Operation Smile aims to raise money for children born with cleft lips in the deprived region.

Jessica will later go on safari in Kenya with her father, Joe, and personal assistant Cacee Cobb.

Sources close to the pair claim Jessica's solo trip is another indication of how much her marriage to Nick has deteriorated.

They claim it is only a matter of time before they split for good.

However, a representative for the couple, who starred together in MTV show 'Newlyweds, has denied the rumours, claiming Nick is only missing the trip because of prior commitments.

The spokesperson said: "Nick will be unable to join Jessica on the trip because of work commitments in Los Angeles."

Last month, it was rumoured Nick had cheated on Jessica with a college student.
