Jane Danson's husband crush

'Coronation Street' star Jane Danson used to fancy her new husband when she was just a schoolgirl.

The 27-year-old actress, who plays Leanne Battersby in the hit soap, had such a crush on new spouse former 'Brookside' star Robert Beck she kept a picture of him on her pencil case when she was 13.

The pair met at an awards ceremony six years ago and after falling in love recently tied the knot.

In his wedding speech, Robert said: "I didn't know what my dream girl looked like but I was always looking.

"Then one night in 1999 Jane walked right up to me in a crowded room and asked me where the bar was. People say it's amazing she found her dream. Maybe so, but it's no more amazing than my dream finding me."

The couple, who are currently on their honeymoon in the Maldives, are now planning to start a family.

Jane told Britain's OK! Magazine: "I think we're both ready for a baby and if it happens, it happens - great.

"But it would be nice to just enjoy being married for a while."
