Tweed has pleaded not guilty for two counts of alleged rape of a 19-year-old woman.
However, he was not granted bail and faces Christmas behind bars.
Tweed stands accused after he allegedly met the teen at London's Embassy nightclub before attacking her at his home in September.
Appearing by satellite link from Pentonville Prison, London during a hearing at the city's Snaresbrook Crown Court, Tweed denied charges of raping the woman twice.
The judge remanded 22-year-old Tweed in custody and set a trial date of April 12.
The proceedings are expected to last two to three weeks.
Co-defendant 25-year-old Anthony Davis, of Chigwell, Essex, also appeared in the court where he entered a plea of not guilty to two counts of rape.
Mr Davis was released on bail.
The teen cannot be named for legal reasons.
