Islamic State spokesman encourages Lee Rigby style killings of non-believers

The group released a statement encouraging supporters of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria to attack citizens of US, France, and UK.

An IS spokesman has encouraged the killing of citizens of western states such as the US, France, and UK. In a statement, he told IS supporters to attack citizens who doesn’t believe in them.

Abu Mohammed al Adnani said: “If you can kill a disbelieving American or European – especially the spiteful and filthy French – or an Australian, or a Canadian, or any other disbeliever from the disbelievers waging war, including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State, then rely upon Allah, and kill him in any manner or way, however it may be.”

“Smash his head with a rock, or slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car, or throw him down from a high place, or choke him, or poison him.”

Adnani seems to be encouraging Lee Rigby style killings. British Army soldier and Fusilier Drummer Rigby was knocked down and stabbed in London by Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale, who are both members of al-Muhajiroun.

Meanwhile, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said the group’s call showed once again “the barbarity of these terrorists [and] why we must fight them relentlessly”.
