‘Password’ and ‘123456’ were some of the most used passwords in 2014. Do we ever learn?

Password company SplashData has revealed the most commonly used (and therefore most guessable) passwords submitted in 2014.

Variations on passwords like 123456 and other obvious choices such as “qwerty” and “password” are included in the top five.

Leading experts have once again urged people to change their passwords and use strong ones.

SplashData recommends the use of password that is at least eight characters long with mixed types of characters. It also urged people to not use the same username and password on multiple websites.
