Is there more value to your credit than you think?
Many times, we pass up the opportunity to save money because we simply do not pay attention to promotions, special offers and deals

Owning a credit card means more than you would think. In their continuous search for new clients, financial companies offer special promotions or bundles that you could profit from.
Other companies and state institutions also offer promotions that you could use through your credit card or even by paying cash. But we seldom pay attention to these and miss on the opportunity to use our credit card at the right time.
Here are some things you should always look for to maximise your credit:
- Always be on the lookout for loyalty and membership credit cards; these could provide special entries to certain events or venues and many discounts, provided you do a little research and find out exactly where they apply;
- Many credit cards are tied with special promotions for a limited period of time; these could range from discounts to travel insurances to renting cars from certain companies. So before planning any trip, be sure to check in on that and save money;
- Other credit cards may not offer immediate discounts, but may have a reward system attached to them. This means that every time you purchase something or make a transfer, you will be awarded some points that you can then use to make further payments;
- Before going to the cinema or travel by train or bus, be sure to check if they offer special discounts on credit cards that have free cinema tickets, train rides or bus membership;
Keep in mind that you can always be on the lookout for these promotions and make a habit of doing so before making any payment with your credit card, be it significant or small – small payments often times amount to large numbers in time.
