Iridology

Iridology is the study of the Iris of the eye. The Iris (coloured part) of the eye is made up of exposed nerve endings that are connected to the brain.

It is a diagnostic technique used to discover the cause of illness in the body. Iridolgy has written records dating back to 1000BC and was used by Hippocrates.

The interest in Iridolgy was revived in the 17th century and studies recorded by medical practitioners. There are over 2800 exposed nerve endings in the eye displaying information relating to the state of the body.

Discolouration in various parts of the Iris, indicate illness or injury in certain areas of the body. It is especially valuable in early diagnosis.

Disease processes may be identified whilst in early stages, before any physical signs or symptoms appear in the body.

There is still extensive research being undertaken, corroborating and extending earlier studies. Iridolgy is a popular and effective from of diagnosis used worldwide.
