The BBC has launched a new version of its on-demand service that will be available through the Playstation 3.
The Sony games console will be the first device that the new iPlayer will be available on.
It will be rolled out over the coming months to include more devices and take advantage of the millions of internet-ready televisions in the UK.
BBC's General Manager for Programmes and On Demand, Daniel Danker, said:
"BBC iPlayer has been tremendously successful. With today's announcement, weÂ’re transforming iPlayer in its most natural home: right on the living room TV.
"By creating a product thatÂ’s as simple and intuitive as flicking through TV channels, the BBC is bringing on demand television to mainstream audiences across the UK."
One million internet-ready televisions were sold last year and research predicts that 36million will be in British homes by 2016.
The iPlayer is one of the most successful on-demand services available, with its programmes watched 157million times in June alone.
