A recent survey by YouGov has found that iPhone users are the most likely to send a sexy text message or sext when compared to Blackberry and Samsung users. The survey also revealed that 19per cent of all smartphone users have accidentally sent a cheeky message or photo to the wrong person.
Duncan Spencer, managing director of insurance2go.co.uk, who commissioned the research, said: "It does seem that iPhone owners are certainly a little more risque when it comes to their mobile communications.
"The moral of the story is that if you are going to send cheeky messages 'check before you sext', otherwise you might find your private photo going viral. There are some things that can never be unseen."
Indeed, when it comes to the private side of phone relationships, more and more smartphone users are becoming increasingly careful with only 7per cent of Samsung users sending 'sexts' to the wrong person and only 7per cent of HTC users accidentally sending explicit picture messages to the wrong recipient.
With dating and relationship apps becoming more popular both on Google Play and App store, it is perhaps not surprising that 12per cent of iPhone owners have ended their relationship via text message while 13per cent of HTC owners had been dumped through the same type of communication.
