Horoscopes. Those little write ups you read online or in your local newspaper that give you a forecast for your star sign of the month to come. You know, the columns that people write dictating what’s in store for you this upcoming week.
A lot can be said about horoscopes. Sometimes they’re spot on and you find yourself nodding in agreement as you read them, while other times they forecast something so far off you’re left wondering why you even read this nonsense.
There are two types of people in this world. Those that believe in horoscopes and those that don’t.
If you find yourself as part of the former group of people, you probably anxiously await the horoscope updates on your favourite website, and excitedly text your friend to cancel that getaway you had planned because true love is definitely about to knock at your door this month and you’re not about to miss it when that happens.
But what happens when you read something terrible in your monthly forecast? Your beloved pet is about to die, or you’re about to invest in something that will tank around the 15th of the month? Do you believe without a shadow of a doubt that this is true? Or do you choose to only believe the positive and exciting bits of the horoscope? We know that it’s easy to get caught up with anxiety over these negative words - so we’ve come up with a way for you to deal with the horror horoscope.
Five ways to deal with the horror horoscope:
1) Grab a gin and tonic before reading your horoscope to dull your nerves. This way, whatever you read won’t be that bad. It might even be a little funny...
2) Take it with a pinch of salt. Read the horoscope but don’t read into the horoscope.
3) Read all the other horoscopes too. This way, you might read one that’s worse than yours and feel a bit better about your situation.
4) Limit horoscope reading to once a month. Don’t read the weekly horoscopes that weigh on your head and rule your week. If you read them less often, you’re more likely to forget what you read and live life the way you want to live it, not the way your horoscope says you should.
5) Give it a miss. Don’t read the horoscopes if you find that they’re ruling your life.
Are your nerves still getting the better of you? Why not take your mind off your horoscope reality with a distraction. You could go for a long walk, watch a movie, or you could try Royal Vegas online casinos games for free or real money. A little distraction is often the best way to get your mind at ease.
So whether you’re a strong-minded, generous Leo, or a courageous, honest Aries - we think it’s best to just be you. Live the life you want to create. No one can tell you what’s in your future, so why not take these horoscopes lightly and create the future you want to live for yourself.
