Hollywood veteran Michael Douglas is planning to take his new film to India, the land of its larger but less famous cousin Bollywood.
While Douglas is hoping to both co-produce and star in Racing The Moon, which is based around a diamond heist involving an Indian train, the film-makers are insisting that most of the cast will be Indian.
One of the Indian production companies thought to be collaborating with Douglas's production company, Further Films, has assured that there will be "a lot of India" in the film.
Douglas is no stranger to Indian soil, having starred in Romancing The Stone and The Jewel Of The Nile, and he apparently spawned the idea for Racing The Monsoon after reading a Wall Street Journal item about "angasias" in India, who act as money and diamond couriers.
But the real light at the end of what could be an otherwise dreary colonial tunnel comes with news that one of the Indian partners is pushing for Bride and Prejudice star Aishwarya Rai to feature along side Douglas as one of the headline names.
