David Hasselhoff is to star in the next series of 'Celebrity Big Brother' for a record £200,000 fee.
Bosses of the Channel 4 show have agreed to pay the former 'Baywatch' actor the most highest salary in the programme's history, in the hope that he will live up to expectations and wow viewers with his outrageous antics.
It is not yet known who will be joining Hasselhoff in the Big Brother house, but 80s British pop star Adam Ant is strongly rumoured to be taking part.
The 54-year-old actor has cancelled all other work commitments so he can appear on the show which starts in January next year.
Before the 'Click' actor agreed to star on the programme British TV comic Michael Barrymore held the record for the highest 'Celebrity Big Brother' fee. He was paid £150,000 to appear in this year's series.
Last week, papers were leaked from Hasselhoff's divorce from his ex-wife Pamela Bach.
In the papers, it was revealed that Bach - who is fighting to have the former couple's pre-nuptial agreement overturned - claims Hasselhoff beat her, gave her herpes and regularly wet himself.
