French research reveal that Pepsi and Coke, one of the most popular soft drinks, consumed by millions all over the world everyday, contain minute traces of alcohol.
This revelation may cause a big stir amongst target audience who avoid such drinks based on religious views, healthy or safety reasons.
The study was conducted by the Paris-based National Institute of Consumption (INC) where it was determined that more than half of the leading colas in the world today contain traces of alcohol.
The institute has revealed that alcohol levels are as low as 10mg in every litre which would result at around 0.001 per cent alcohol. These figures, although very low, may upset thousands of Muslims who regularly consume Cola where their religion forbids them from drinking alcohol.
