'Emmerdale' beauty Roxanne Pallett once saved her mum and grandmother when their house went up in flames.
The stunning actress, who is hotly-tipped to win TV talent show 'Soapstar Superstar', was at home with her family in Cumbria when the blaze broke out in the kitchen in the middle of the night.
The family were in bed when smoke started to fill the house - and only Roxanne was awake.
With no thought for her own safety, the 22-year-old leapt out of bed and ran to get her gran out of bed.
When she realised she was unconscious, Roxanne dragged her elderly relative to safety and then rushed back into the house to alert her mum.
Roxanne is quoted in Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "There were flames and smoke everywhere - it was terrifying.
"I had to carry my gran downstairs through the smoke. It was so black I could barely see."
She added: "By the time I'd got her out, my mum had become trapped. Luckily, fire-fighters saved her."
Fire chiefs later presented the actress with a bravery award for her courageous rescue.
