Jude Law is looking to "relax" as he stars in the re-make of British classic "Alfie".
Following his Oscar nomination for his role as a taciturn romantic in US civil war drama "Cold Mountain", Law is looking forward to people's reactions to his role as a womaniser in the re-make of the 1966 Brit-flick.
"I was ready to relax," he told Empire magazine.
"I'd done this batch of dark, spiritually searching roles. I was completely up to play a philanderer, a guy who is out for himself."
His last three roles were as WP Inman in "Cold Mountain", Maguire in "Road to Perdition", and a robot in "Artificial Intelligence: AI".
The re-make of Michael Caine's iconic film is updated for the 21st Century according to Law.
"He's blatantly honest about women," says Law of his Alfie character. "A great face, a great body, beautiful breasts - that's what interests him. It's what a lot of men feel."
