A TV film which envisages Prince Harry being captured by extremists in Afghanistan is to be shown on Channel 4 this month.
The programme, entitled The Taking of Prince Harry, has already sparked outrage as some deem it a “training video” for potential terrorists.
With one scene showing the prince with a gun to his head and another outlining how British intelligence would negotiate his release, the programme has received criticism for how realistic it could be.
Whilst a MoD spokesman refused to comment thoroughly on the programme, Channel 4Â’s head of documentaries said:
“In the film we mentioned that his nickname was Bullet Magnet. There were quite a lot of reports and stories of jihadi websites saying he should be the No 1 target.”
He also added that the film was made responsibly and was not meant to cause offence.
The Taking of Prince Harry comes to Channel 4 on 21 October.
