Hannah Smith, the 14-year-old girl thought to have committed suicide after being bullied on a question-and-answer website, was laid to rest on Friday, August 16th.
Her father, David Smith, led hundreds of mourners who wore onesies and colourful clothing to celebrate Hannah’s life. According to Hannah’s family, she endured months of torment on controversial question-and-answer website, Ask.fm.
The website had originally planned to publicise plans on how to deal with online bullying but decided to postpone the announcement as it coincided with Hannah’s funeral. The website is expected to reveal plans on Monday, August 19th.
Reverend Charlie Styles led the service at St Mary’s Church in Lutterworth, Leicestershire.
