'X Men' star Halle Berry says she will definitely adopt.
The Oscar-winning actress says she is determined to become a mother even if she cannot conceive naturally.
However, Halle, 39, insists she will not start parenthood until she can give the child her full attention.
She revealed: "I will adopt if it doesn't happen for me naturally - definitely. And I probably will even if it does happen naturally."
The decision will see the screen beauty become the latest in a long line of celebrities - including Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman - who have chosen to give an orphan a home.
She explained to America's Extra magazine: "There are too many babies being born."
Halle has already confessed to US talk show host Oprah Winfrey that she wants to have a baby by the time she turns 40 - this August (06).
She said: "If there's no serious man in my life, whoever I'm dating at the time, I'll say, 'Hey, would you like to have a baby?'
"I really yearn for a child and I can't wait much longer."
Halle has been married and divorced twice - the first time to baseball player David Justice, the second time to actor Eric Benet.
