Russell Grant has waved goodbye to Strictly after being eliminated from the BBC dance competition.
The celebrity astrologer didn't foresee his exit alongside professional partner Flavia Cacace last night during StrictlyÂ’s live Wembley Arena special.
Grant landed in the bottom two with singer Holly Vallance, whose professional partner, Artem Chigvintsey, made his return to the show after being forced to sit out for a week due to a spinal injury.
But it was Grant who ultimately left this week after receiving the lowest scores when both audience votes and judgesÂ’ scores were taken into account.
Speaking to hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman following his exit, he said:
"Every show I've done has been a highlight, it's been fantastic. The public have been great, the audiences have been great. I've learnt from the judges, I've listened to the judgesÂ… but most of all I've had the most fantastic partner in Flavia."
Partner Cacace added:
"I completely agree with everyone out there who absolutely loves you because you are a true inspiration. It has been an absolute pleasure and joy partnering you."
The 60-year-old star reader had been suffering with various injuries during his time on the show, recently having to undergo keyhole surgery on his knee.
Strictly Come Dancing returns next Saturday at 7pm on BBC One.
