Google is about to hold its biggest show of the year showcasing its newest products for developers to see. This year, its going to be about technology that will take over your wallet, power your house, and the create the reality that you live in.
Although the event runs from 18 May to 20 May, Wednesday is the highly anticipated day as executives take the stage to lay out everything that is going to be talked about through the rest of the week.
Among those that are expected to be covered include Project Chirp, which is probably the only major announcement that isn’t just a refinement of something that already exists. The technology, which is Google’s answer to Amazon’s Echo, could mark the firm’s entry into the connected home and voice assistants. It is expected to sit in your home serving as a voice-activated personal assistant.
Virtual reality is another major update that is expected to be talked about in the event. The firm has already shown off capabilities with its VR software and Cardboard headset but this year could finally bring out its own headset.
