Google has unveiled plans for its new campus in California. The futuristic office will feature artificial skies, indoor cycle paths, no stairs, and robots that will reconfigure the space on the fly.
The ambitious design developed by European archicture firms Bjarke INgels Group and Heatherwick Studio does not have conventional doors, stairs, roofs, or walls.
The artificial sky will be made using glass canopies that will act like giant greenhouses.
"We’re blurring the outside world with the inside world," says Thomas Heatherwick.
Cycle lanes will allow staff to ride their bikes. Meanwhile, yoga will be offered in another area.
The proposals have been submitted to the local planning department.
