Global Fashion Awards: Top Shop, Victoria Beckham and Rankin Big Winners

Three Brits made the nation proud as they bagged the top awards at Global Fashion Awards

There’s another reason for Brits to feel proud; at the recent Global Fashion Awards Victoria Beckham was named the Womenswear Designer of the Year, while photographer Rankin was honoured for his amazing contribution to the world of fashion.

 

British high street brand Topshop on the other hand, won the Womenswear Design Team Award.

The Global Fashion Awards isn’t like any fashion awards; it’s the only one that makes winners from people who claim to be the best in their field, as they’re voted for by panel of industry specialists.

The event which was held in the UK, was hosted by Cat Deeley and was attended by celebrities that include Pixie Lott, Joanne Froggart, Mr Hudson, and people from the design world.

Victoria Beckham, who wasn’t able to pick her award, took to Twitter to give thanks saying: “Thank you @wgsn, thrilled to win Womenswear Designer @GFashionAwards #GFA2012 ! X vb”
