Fans of the US television show Glee will no longer be able to watch the next series for free on E4, after parent company Channel 4 walked away from negotiations.
The popular series, based around competing show choirs in the States, is expected to be snapped up by Sky, after the broadcaster reportedly offered more than double what Channel 4 paid for the first two seasons.
The Channel said it would free up "huge amounts" of money by not renewing its Glee deal.
A spokesman said that the money saved would go towards "home-grown British talent and...continuing to discover and showcase what the US has to offer".
Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears are some of the top stars that have appeared on the all-singing and all-dancing show.
The second series has pulled in 2.6million viewers on E4, making it the channel's biggest ratings winner to date.
If the deal goes ahead, the final three episodes of season two will be the last screened on free-to-air-channels.
