Gervais' £2.5 million home

Ricky Gervais has splashed out a staggering £2.5 million on a London mansion.

The lavish property boasts four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a shower room, separate dressing room and two balconies.

It also comes with parking space for three cars and a large garden.

'The Office' creator is hopeful the luxurious pad will provide him and his partner Jane Fallon with more privacy than their current home.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Ricky's been living right in the heart of London in the West End for years. He wanted to get a place which is a little more secluded and not so hectic. So, he is moving into the heart of the celebrity belt."

Ricky's new home is located within walking distance of his good friend, TV presenter Jonathan Ross.

Ricky said: "It's near Jonathan's house. I've got a pool planned and he's got a miniature golf course, so we're both well sorted."
