George Michael has been injured in a car crash that happened on the M1 on Thursday, 16th May, 2013, it has emerged. It is understood the singer was a passenger in a car, his agent confirmed.
The 49-year-old was taken to hospital after the accident. According to reports a spokesperson for George Michael said that he was “fine”.
Connie Filippello, the singer’s spokesman, said: “George Michael was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic accident yesterday evening. No third party was involved.
“We have no further comment at this time.”
It is believed that part of the road near to where the incident happened was temporarily closed following the crash.
Emergency services attended the scene on Thursday.
George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley formed WHAM!; a pop duo known to many since it was formed in the 1980s.
