Fans have been gathering outside George Michael’s London and Oxfordshire homes to pay tributes and celebrate his life. The singer died on Christmas Day.
The 53-year-old's publicist thanked "those who, rightly, have chosen to celebrate his life and legacy."
Amid the tributes, the singer’s tales of legendary generosity have surfaced.
Former Deal or No Deal producer Richard Osman revealed that the singer gave a woman £15k for IVF treatment.
Osman tweeted: "A woman on 'Deal Or No Deal' told us she needed £15k for IVF treatment.
"George Michael secretly phoned the next day and gave her the £15k."
The recipient was 38-year-old Lynette Gillard who said: "For many years I wondered who would have been so generous and now I know. What more can I say other than 'Thank you George'."
Her husband, Steve Davies who had appeared on Deal or No Deal in 2008, said: "Thank you is not enough. It restores your faith in humankind.
"All the bad news you read about and then something like this happens."
Other stories of the star’s benevolence include a £50,000 Sports Relief donation. Comedian and author David Walliams also said that he received £50,000 from the singer for his 2006 cross-Channel swim.
