Gemma Collins quits I'm a Celebrity after just three days in the jungle

Gemma Collins' exit is one of the fastest in the show’s fourteen-year history.

The Only Way is Essex reality star and boutique owner Gemma Collins has quit the current series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here just three days after entering the Australian jungle.

 

Collins walked away on Wednesday morning joining the lengthy list of celebrities who quit the show. However, her exit is one of the fastest in the show’s fourteen-year history. 

 

A spokesperson confirmed: 'We're sorry to see Gemma go but respect her decision and wish her well.' 

 

Reports say that she will still be paid hefty appearance fee despite making an early exit.

The star had previously said that she wanted to lose weight and find love on the show. 

 

Speaking to Closer before the official launch she said: ‘I was meant to lose weight before I went in the jungle, but I couldn’t stop eating, so losing weight once I am in there will be great!’

 

‘I’d certainly consider having a holiday romance. Why not? I’m a single girl.’  

 

She added: 'Hopefully I’ll walk out of the jungle in three weeks’ time with my head sorted out, my heart repaired and I’ll be three stone lighter. I’d be so happy.'
