‘Take That’ Gary Barlow will be one of the performers in this year’s Classic Brit Awards. He will take part in a performance of “Sing”, the number one single written to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The singer will be joined by Lord Lloyd Webber and the choir ‘Military Wives’. Gareth Malone, the man who put together the partners and wives of military personnel deployed in Afghanistan to create the group, will be the conductor.
They are set to perform on October 2nd at the Royal Albert Hall.
As reported by Sky News Barlow has said: “The Classic Brits is something I've never done before, so I'm very excited to be a part of it.
“It'll be nice to get everyone back together for a performance of Sing as we've only ever performed it once together live.”
Other performers for the said event are expected to include Russell Watson.
On relevant news, Malone and the Military Wives are strong contenders for the 2012 Single of The Year for their song “Wherever You Are.”
