Friends star Courteney Cox reveals engagement via intimate selfie

Courteney Cox announced that she’s engaged to new boyfriend Johnny McDaid through her social networking account.

Courteney Cox is engaged! The happy news was shared by the 50-year-old Friends star via Twitter. 

 

Posting an intimate selfie of herself alongside new boyfriend Johnny McDaid on Twitter, she wrote: “I’m engaged to him!” Responding, her Snow Patrol rocker and husband to be tweeted at the same time, writing: “I’m engaged to her!”

 

The couple has been dating for about eight months and were introduced by British singer and mutual friend Ed Sheeran. They recently flew from Miami to Amanyara in Turks and Caicos to celebrate the star’s 50th birthday. 

 

A source previously told E!: 'Courteney's birthday was Sunday and they spent all afternoon on the beach. It was just the two of them and they found a secluded spot in a cove.'

 

'It was very romantic and a beautiful setting for the afternoon. They shared a green cocktail and took a nap side by side. Courteney looked like there was nowhere else in the world she would rather be and just so happy to be doing what she was doing.

 

'Johnny was doting on her, rubbing her leg and passing her a cold towel when she got hot. They seem very happy together and totally in love. After a long afternoon in the sun, they went back to their room for the night.'
