Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack has received death threats over her rumoured relationship with One Direction singer Harry Styles.

The 32-year-old presenter has been romantically linked to the Gotta Be You singer since last month when the pair shared a kiss at a party.

A source said at the time:

"They had a big passionate snog and it caused mild hysterics with the group of people they were with."

It was reported this week that they had been on a date to a London restaurant, allegedly leaving together in the same car.

Flack has now taken to Twitter to deny speculation and defend herself against death threats from One Direction fans, posting:

"Hi one direction fans! To clarify. I'm close friends with Harry. He's one of the nicest people I know...I don't deserve death threats. :) x"

Flack previously admitted to being embarrassed by the ‘drunken snog’ with the One Direction singer, while Styles said:

"It was a bit misconstrued... it wasn't like that."

A friend apparently told Heat magazine:

"It was just a drunken snog and nothing else. She's been trying to forget about it."
