Customers at a new Starbucks store in Convent Garden, which is located in the heart of the West End, can enjoy not only pick-me-ups coffee at the beginning of their day but also wine and craft beer after a day’s hard work.
The new concept store serves a range of wine and craft beers between 4pm to 9pm, including two local brews – Five Points beer from Hackney and London Alt beer from Battersea.
Rhys Iley, vice president of Starbucks' operations for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "I think there's no mistaking that this store is all about the coffee but we also recognise that a lot of our customers want to come in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine or beer and a sharing platter."
The store also offers five exclusive beans from around the world as well as use trending brewing techniques it picked up from independent coffee shops. It will charge at least £6 for some the specially produced Star Reserve coffees but customers will not have to wait in line and will instead be served directly from their table.
