Superdry, the favourite British fashion label of big stars such as Nicole Scherzinger and David Beckham had an early boost in sales April this year at 15.3per cent to £86.8million.
Last year, full year sales were up by 14.7per cent to £360million. Superdry Chief Executive, Julian Dunkerton gives the credit for this good performance to its new management team. Still, the figures did not meet the expectations of the analysts.
The company is preparing for further growth as it opens more stores in the UK and overseas. It recently opened five stores in Lebanon, India, France, Spain, and Denmark.
Not less than 100,000 sq. ft. of new stores is being readied for opening next year. Its owner further said that 20 stores will rise in UK this year and 38 overseas citing the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East countries as the probable locations.
The boost in sales showed a sudden increase of 16 concessions will be opened internationally.
Superdry will also launch its wholesale scheme of its latest tailored lines to top retailers to disprove preconceptions about this emerging fashion specialist. Will all these activities the drawing board, Superdry is bound to become a global brand in no time at all.
The growing speed of Superdry indicates that the acceptance of the brand can create brand loyal customers who would increase the presence more effectively in short duration.
Dunkerton says that the whole year gross of tax profits were in accordance to the targets of £49.5million to £53million.
The UK economy is growing showing positive signs in the shopping industry. This does not only attribute to the dynamic tastes of the fashion segment of the country but also to the quality of the goods purchased.
The boost in sales indicates that the investment in this industry can really grow effectively and the world here expects quality and trust in this global brand.
