Unfriending your partner could be the best way to have a successful marriage, says one relationship expert.
Ian Kerner, a New York-based therapist suggested that couples delete each other from their social media friend list to avoid miscommunication and arguments.
He said: “There’s something about being in a relationship where you want some unknowingness and some unpredictability,”
“I realized for a little while with my own wife that I didn’t really want her to be my friend on Facebook,”
"I didn’t want all of that extra information. If anything I wanted less information, I wanted more mystery and more unpredictability."
Meanwhile, a recent survey released by the Pew Research Centre suggests that 25per cent of mobile phone owners in marriage or a relationship feel that the devices causes distractions.
"Put the devices down. Studies have shown that even if there’s a device nearby, it can change the texture of a conversation,” said Kerner.
