Users of Instagram are now allowed to take and share videos on the social networking site.
This first major change on Facebook’s photo-sharing app, was announced in a press conference by Instagram’s chief executive Kevin Systrom. He added that the app would allow users to make 3-15 seconds clips.
Instagram’s distinctive filters can be used on videos and users have the ability to choose their thumbnail images. The app will vie with Twitter’s Vine, which also lets users share videos.
Meanwhile, co-founders of Vine are giving hints that they’re going to announce new features over the coming days, according to the reports.Analysts say that this move is already expected.
