The Titanic actress is about to turn 40 this year and says that she has never felt more confident or more happy. She regales of her, “wonderful family,” saying that they are very happy and laugh a lot.
Kate is to appear in 5 films this year and involves her 14 and 11 year old children in the decision making process, before she decides which roles to take. She also has a baby and values the opinions of the eldest two greatly.
Although they were very keen for Kate to accept the role of villain in the film series, Divergent, she is hasty to say that although her children think she should take the role, they of course are definitely not afraid of her.
Kate credits her husband Ned (nephew of Richard Branson) with her confidence and happiness. They married in 2012 and not long after, Kate gave birth to their baby, Bear.
She tells of how supportive Ned is and also of how much her older children love having a little baby in the family.
On turning 40, Kate says that she feels that she has really “earned” her birthday!
