F1 legend Michael Schumacher's ski accident 'filmed on mobile phone'

Michael Schumacher's ski accident, which left him fighting for life in hospital, was reportedly caught on camera.

45-year-old F1 legend Michael Schumacher is currently in a medically-induced coma in Grenoble hospital following his ski accident. His condition is said to be “critical but stable.” Following the news, reports have surfaced saying that the whole incident was inadvertently captured by a 35-year-old flight attendant who was filming his girlfriend on the slopes during the time.

Reports have confirmed that he plans to hand over the video to prosecutors in Albertville.

According to German magazine, Der Spiegel, the video shows Schumacher on the background travelling at a leisurely pace of up to 20kph before he fell. The seven-time world champion’s head then struck a rock in the French Alps and he was left in critical condition in hospital.

The video will be more likely to be used to support his manager’s claim that he was not travelling fast when the accident happened.
