Kazam, the new smartphone manufacturer, has been founded by ex-HTC bosses James Atkins and Michael Coombes.
The goal of the new company, which will focus mainly on the European market, is to differentiate itself from the competition by offering a greater level of support to customers post-purchase.
“There is a real opportunity for a new mobile brand to disrupt the status quo,” Atkins said.
“We are passionate about delivering a truly positive mobile experience that doesn't just stop once you've bought the phone.”
Coombes will be Kazam’s CEO while Atkins is the company’s chief marketing officer. They are both from HTC and left the company in March after reportedly experiencing financial difficulties.
